🌿 Kaliyuga: A Life of Hardship or a Life of Ease?
One circus, one question, and the reality of life.
Yesterday I went to watch the Great Golden Circus 🎪.
Seeing the dedication and effort of the performers truly amazed me.
▫️ Only about 10% of the seats were filled
▫️ Very little income
▫️ Every act involved serious risk to life
▫️ Even a small mistake could lead to serious injury
Yet despite all this—
👉 Smiles on their faces
👉 Complete concentration
👉 Tired bodies but strong minds
And most of them were very young.
That raised a question in my mind:
👉 The circus has changed
👉 Times have changed
👉 The world has changed…
But what is it that truly lasts in life?
🔸 Nature’s Rule: Change
Nature has only one unbreakable rule — change.
What exists today may not exist tomorrow.
Yet we expect everything instantly and without effort.
⚡ Expectations in Kaliyuga
Today people expect:
Childhood → chocolates, kids zones, malls
Youth → fun, cold drinks, junk food
Teenage years → expensive bikes, loud music
Family life → car, 2BHK house, beautiful partner, calm children
Everything immediately
Everything easily
Everything without struggle
But life doesn’t work that way.
🔬 What Science Says
Science tells us:
The body’s energy changes with age
Between 17–25 years, the brain and body are at their most efficient
The efforts made during this period build the foundation of life
That is why:
Doctors, UPSC aspirants, and competitive exam students are extremely busy during these years.
But that effort is necessary.
🕉️ What Spirituality Says
Spirituality explains that life runs on two things:
1️⃣ Karma (actions)
2️⃣ Family lineage (values and upbringing)
🔹 Karma
The hard work done between 17–25 years:
👉 Turns a person into a mental machine
👉 The results may not appear immediately
👉 But the effects grow deep within
🔹 Lineage (Kul)
The good actions and values of our parents may give us some comfort and advantages in life.
But those benefits may not last after 40–45,
if our own karma is weak.
▫️ The Reality of Life
Often, real life begins after 40:
Physical strength starts decreasing
Responsibilities increase
Issues with children, relationships, colleagues, and health arise
At that time, your past karma becomes your true support.
👉 Blood comes from your lineage
👉 Breath is given and taken by God
👉 Food comes through karma
👉 Happiness and sorrow emerge from the treasury of karma
🎪 The Lesson from the Circus
Circus performers may change.
The acts may change.
But one thing never changes:
Hard work.
🌱 Conclusion
Just because this is Kaliyuga, do not expect life to be easy.
Look at life the way you watch a circus—
👉 Applause comes only after performing difficult acts.
