The body is a temple — food is sacred offering
God has placed us in a specific region, and eating in harmony with that climate is the right approach. Cold foods may suit colder regions, but what truly matters is what your body can digest.
We live in a tropical region — so before lunch, have something light and cooling; eat fruits before meals; drink lukewarm or warm water or water stored in earthen pots; include enough fiber; and eat simple, light food in the evening. This keeps the body calm, pure, and balanced.
Avoid refined flour (maida) and junk food. Traditional whole grains, vegetables, and homemade meals are truly nourishing. Street foods like vada pav, samosa, pav bhaji, or chaat — who knows about the oil quality, ingredients, or hygiene?
Reduce excess sugar and high-calorie foods. Packaged juices often contain powders, cornflour, and artificial colors, which burden the body. If consuming non-vegetarian food, ensure cleanliness and quality.
Homemade food is always better than machine-made smoothies, fast-food popcorn, or artificial creams. Homemade taste is like a divine offering.
Chocolates and ice cream are fine occasionally, but choose reliable brands.
If eating cake, semolina (rava) cake or cakes without icing are healthier.
Instead of naan, paratha, or refined breads — chapati is better, and flatbreads like bhakri are even better. Grains like jowar, nachni (ragi) are true blessings of nature.
Rice flatbread absorbs salt, making it easier to digest with seafood.
Traditional combinations like mutton with wheat, fish with rice, and chicken with bhakri are considered healthy.
Juicing fruits removes their fiber — eating whole fruits is better.
Foods like crab, prawns, mutton, jackfruit, and mangoes generate heat in the body, so eat them in moderation.
Sweets like kaju katli and pedas put stress on digestion.
Homemade paneer is best. Restaurant paneer is often processed.
Packaged items like paneer, sugar, mushrooms, bread, butter, oils, sauces, chutneys, papad, and pickles — do we really know their quality like we do for homemade food?
Alcohol is acidic — it disrupts the body’s water balance and reduces blood supply to the brain, which causes intoxication. This is not a divine path; fasting, on the other hand, strengthens the body and purifies the mind.
Today, hospitals are filling up with patients because:
Weak digestion → poor metabolism → leads to heart, kidney, respiratory issues, swelling, diabetes, and more.
The root cause is improper diet. The simple, boiled food given in hospitals is actually beneficial — while what we eat outside is often the opposite. So we must decide what is right and wrong.
Papad, pickles, lassi, ice cream, bread, refined flour, juices, cold drinks — these are not essentials, just supplements. If they’re “extras,” they should make up only about 3–4% of your diet.
🌸 Conclusion:
Take care of your stomach, and in return you’ll gain good health, peace of mind, and a happy, disease-free later life — all with God’s grace.
